When BMW was looking for a place to shoot their new “top secret” Z4 Concept car, they needed a private desert location (away from the prying eyes of car photographers trying to get the first images), vast open land, a dry lake bed look and long dirt roads. UltimateGraveyard was a perfect fit with over 300 acres of private desert landscape, located over a mile off the nearest highway.
Once the location was locked down, we assisted the Production’s Executive Producer to secure local hotel accommodations, the Production trailers for the crew of 30, and the free permit from Kern County.
The production utilized a variety of locations on the property, including the dry lake bed area, cement tunnel under the railroad tracks, the plane shell and the dirt roads with the Joshua trees and mountain views as the backdrop.

One of our favorite international clients recently flew to LA to create a 50th anniversary campaign for Duke India‘s fashion brand. SlickforceStudio produced the “California Dreamin” campaign, which was shot over two days.
Day One took place at our favorite playground in the Mojave desert, Ultimate Graveyard, where the models posed on vintage vehicles, built burning campfires, climbed inside plane shells, and danced along the railroad tracks.

We received a call from our frequent renter RocketJump, who was collaborating with Loot Crate, for their latest Crate theme release. For this production, they needed a big desert location and wanted to know if they could blow up a car on our property. We’ve had other shoots with big fire effects before (check out The Dance’s“Cheers” video), so we gave the go ahead and helped them secure the proper permits, Fire Safety Officer and Water truck.
With an amazing help from Special Effects Coordinator Tom Ceglia and his team, the explosion went off perfectly and the clients were thrilled.

They chose the UltimateGraveyard for the vast open desert land, the Joshua trees, and the railroad tracks that run through it.
